Tool Description:

Embedded DOS 6-XL is a high-performance, real-time DOS for embedded applications where power and memory are readily available. The DOS kernel is fully reentrant, and the built-in real-time microkernel architecture provides preemptive, prioritized scheduling of threads and timers to allow applications written with DOS tools to use multitasking control flow. Threads, timers, mutexes, events, message ports, queues, shared memory, and object naming services are provided by kernel and executive layers. The operating system runs standard DOS applications and is compatible with MS-DOS 6.22 at the DOS INT 21h level. The Embedded DOS 6-XL Adaptation Kit includes 300 pages of technical documentation; full DOS kernel, utility, and device driver source code, and system generation tools.
